Guide · Search engine optimization

SEO starts with useful, well-structured pages.

Search engine optimization helps potential customers discover your website in search results. Start with their needs, then improve your content, page accessibility and measurement of useful enquiries.

Four foundations to work on

01

Search intent

Understand what someone needs and which page can answer their question.

02

Useful content

Explain your offer with precise information, examples and practical answers.

03

Technical foundations

Make pages accessible, readable on mobile and easy to navigate.

04

Measurement

Use searches, clicks and enquiries to decide what to improve next.

Match each page to a real need

Someone searching for hosting wants to compare an offer. Someone asking how to choose a domain name needs an explanation. Those searches do not necessarily belong on the same page.

Give each important page a primary purpose. Explain the service, relevant conditions and next steps. Avoid creating near-identical pages for minor keyword variations.

What should you check on a page?

  • SEO title: describe the purpose of the page.
  • H1 and subheadings: introduce the topic and organize the answers.
  • Meta description: provide an accurate summary. Google may display a different title or snippet for a particular query.

Include the information people need to decide: scope, process, established prices and common questions. Link to complementary pages with descriptive link text.

Get the technical foundations right

Search engines need to access a page, and important content should not be excluded from indexing by mistake. Redirects, canonical URLs and the sitemap should stay consistent, especially after a redesign.

On WordPress, also watch image sizes, plugins and caching. Suitable hosting supports your site, but cannot replace useful content and clear navigation.

How can you measure progress?

Google Search Console shows queries, impressions, clicks and indexing information. Analytics and conversion measurement, configured around consent choices, can help connect that visibility to useful actions.

Look at trends by page and query rather than a single ranking. More visits matter when they reach the right audience and bring relevant enquiries. Timelines vary, and no ranking or deadline can be guaranteed.

Choose priorities without shortcuts

Start with your main offer pages: check accessibility, clarify headings and add missing information. Then develop content that answers real customer questions.

Relevant relationships and useful content can earn links. Avoid schemes designed to manipulate rankings. SEO and Google Ads can complement each other, with separate goals and measurement.

Share the page and your goal: search visibility, a clearer offer or more relevant enquiries.
